trio2.jpgSingleness. Marriage. A topic that is all close to our unmarried hearts. We are brought up to be wives and mothers. I know we all dream of the day we will say “I do”. The day when Prince Charming sweeps us off our feet and carries us off into the sunset! The day he will be ours and we will be his. Till death do us part.

There are different kinds of waiting. Waiting for our special man to come into our lives, the waiting for the right timing for the ring to appear on our finger and the waiting for the wedding day. All require patience, trust in God, and trust in our man. I look forward to that day when my wedding bells ring. But I also relish this time right now. This is a time in my life that won’t last forever. So what do we do with this time?

Once again my favorite verse comes to mind.

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms 118

Every day is a day that you are to live to its fullest. No matter what your circumstances. If we can’t be happy and rejoice in a day in our single state, what makes us think we can be happy as married ladies?

Whatever you do in a day do it to the glory of our Lord and Savior. If instead of planning a wedding you are cleaning your room and scrubbing toilets, lets rejoice! God has had our lives planned from before day one. If He has us in this place then let us be thankful and praise Him. I know it isn’t always easy. It is hard to wait. It is hard to have patience. But, Lord willing, the time will come.
